Every Captive Set Free

In a few weeks we are flying across the world to work in a refugee / IDP camps. We’re bringing our guitars, ukuleles and the hope of the gospel to the hard and dark regions of the world. We will sing our songs, dance, release joy and the beauty of the man Jesus into those broken refugee camps and over the nation and middle east region.

I believe more and more that worship is more powerful than any sword or military force in the world. See, when Paul and Silas began to sing while CHAINED and LOCKED UP, not only where they set free but the also the ENTIRE PRISON. WORSHIP SETS EVERY CAPTIVE WAS SET FREE. That’s what happens when we bring worship into war zones and the presence into prisons. We make the earth look a little bit more like heaven, and the Kingdom comes and people get free.

That’s what this is really all about. We are partnering with the Lord and His plans on the earth. We get swept up in the beauty of His Son and the revelation of His heart. There really is no better way to live.

I want to encourage us all to really gain heaven’s perspective for what is going on in the the world right now. We have the power to unlock cities, regions, nations and people groups and launch them into the purpose and plans of the Kingdom of God here on earth.

We aren’t praying from a place of fear, little-to-no authority or political correctness. We are praying while being seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). The narrative of culture is only one perspective. We have been given full access to the presence of God as kings and priest through the work of Jesus (Rev. 1:6). From North Korea, to Charlottesville, to Iraq and every place in between, let us not speak from the place of our pain or our fear, but from the place of Heaven’s perspective.

God give us your perspective for the nations, the lost and broken, the marginalized and the oppressed. Holy Spirit, use us as an instrument of your power to bring restoration. Let us see what you see. Let us feel your heart. Thank you for the work you have done in us, that we might offer the some work to others.

“Lord make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love.Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, joy. O divine master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,to be understood as to understand. To be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned .And it’s in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen” – St. Francis
